Schools
Public
The
public schools serving our neighborhood are Whittier Primary School
(K-4), Calvin Coolidge (5-8), and Peoria (Central) High School (9-12).
Students in grades 5-8 meeting entrance criteria may choose to
attend Washington Gifted School or Roosevelt
Magnet School (Fine Arts Magnet). Peoria District 150 also
has some fine Early Childhood Education programs for children ages three to six. Even if you do not have children in our neighborhood schools,
consider volunteering in one of the schools. Healthy public schools
make healthy neighborhoods!
